CASSANO OFFERED HOPE

The Italian Antonio Cassano has not featured for the national team since being left out of the team that could manage only a 1-1 draw with the Dutch. Cassano has been criticised by several high-profile managers like Fabio Capello for getting involved in a clash with the Inter Milan manager Andrea Stramaccioni.

However, the Italian manager Prandelli has said that the international career for the 30-year-old is not over yet. He has insisted that this is just a break from international football, and Cassano will soon be in his plans for the future squads.

PRANDELLI BACKS CASSANO

Cesare Prandelli, the Italy National Football Team coach has come out in public support of Antonio Cassano, stating that he is one of those players that he is sure to take to the European Championships of 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.

Cassano, who is currently playing for Italian champions AC Milan has not had much game time this season and was criticized from various media about his credibility to play in the European Championships.

The 28 year old striker, who began his career at AS Roma before heading to Spain and play for the Spanish giants Real Madrid before heading home for the lack of playing time with Sampdoria, joined AC Milan in January 2011 but his time on the pitch with them has been very limited.
