Former Manchester United youngster Paul Pogba has been one of the best midfielders in the Italian Serie A since his arrival from the Premier league outfit a few years ago. However, there have been several transfer rumours linking him with a return to Premier League or even with Spanish giants Real Madrid. This is because of his all-round nature to be able to dominate the midfield. Pogba not only acts as a defensive shield, but he also joins the attack and scores goals as well.
The 21-year-old, though, has only two years left on his contract. Juventus have been trying to sign him on a longer deal, but they have not made any progress so far. This has intensified speculation that he will move elsewhere in the summer. In the last few days, there has been talk of a £ 60 million bid from Chelsea for his services. This will make the expensive players in the world, but he could easily cost this figure given the age and quality. French club Paris St Germain, who are also one of the clubs capable of offering this extravagant transfer fee, are also thought to be interested.
The player’s agent, though, has revealed that Pogba does not have any intention of leaving Italian football right now. He is currently with the French national team at the World Cup 2014.
"We have decided not to speak of the transfer market with regards to Paul until after the World Cup. But I can calmly say that his future will still be at Juventus, where he feels very happy," said player’s agent. Real Madrid are thought to be in the market for a new combative midfielder. Pogba will not only fit into this mould, but he will also be able to score goals making him twice the player.
