PJANIC AIMS FOR THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Roma's attacking playmaker Miralem Pjanic has said that Champions League football is one of the main aims for Roma this season. After a few years of struggling in the Italian Serie A, Roma seem to be back where they belong. The presence of new owners has provided them with the necessary impetus both in terms of the moral and also in terms of the cash to take on the big teams like Juventus, AC Milan, and Inter Milan.

Even though they had a poor start to the season, they have recovered since then. One of the main reasons for the poor start to the season has been the high level of a number of new players. One of them has been Miralem Pjanic.

He has said that finishing in the Champions League qualifying places is extremely important for Roma this season. In fact, it now seems to be their main aim for the season. Miralem Pjanic scored his first goal for Roma in the match against Lecce during the weekend. Even though Roma had a poor start to the season, they are extremely close to realising their aim for the season because there are only a few points away from the third position, which is now the final Champions League qualifying spot in Italy.

After the match against Lecce, he said, "Our goal is to at least qualify for the next edition of the Champions League and I hope to contribute a lot more goals to the cause. I had a difficult week after my national team were eliminated from the European Championship [finals], but I am positive and look forward to the future."

Miralem Pjanic was one of the big signings for Roma this season, as he arrived for a transfer fee of around £ 9 million. He is starting to show his potential now.
